It’s almost time to board a plane and start your new journey at Suffolk University in the heart of Boston! We have many resources to help you along the way. This is a simple checklist to help you stay on track and prepare for your arrival. If you need help or get stuck on any of the checklist items, email us at firstname.lastname@example.org. Now that you have confirmed your place, complete these important steps!
Log into your Student Email account
You will be getting important emails to your unique Suffolk.edu email address. To log in to your Suffolk inbox you will need your credentials. You will get two emails from SuffolkIT@suffolk.edu that will provide you with your Student ID and Username. You should receive these emails starting from July 13, 2022, when you confirm your place. Check your spam or junk folder if you don’t see the email.
Once you get your credentials, this resource will help you log in to your Suffolk email account.
Apply for your F-1 visa
Apply for your F-1 visa right away. To start the process, you will need to use the Form I-20 that will be sent to you from Meghan Lynch, INTO Suffolk director of student operations, at mlynch3@suffolk.

Finalize your housing
Living on campus?
All INTO Suffolk International Year One, University Transfer Program, and Academic English+ International Year One students are required to live on-campus for two semesters or the duration of their program.
Note: Anyone studying with INTO who deposits with a housing guarantee will be sent their housing information around the first week of June. Any student who deposits after and is offered housing would likely be assigned on a rolling basis. These messages come from SU Res Life (Suffolk Residential Life).
Living off campus?
Suffolk University has a verified free off-campus housing portal listing available accommodations and a roommate matching platform. This platform can be accessed by prospective and current INTO Suffolk students. Go here to start looking at options for your off-campus housing. Upload your proof of immunization through the Suffolk Student Health Portal
Login with your Suffolk credentials. Go to theSuffolk Student Health Portal to upload your immunization records. You will see instructions on how to upload your immunization documents. Please note, these must be uploaded in order for you to be registered for your classes.
Suffolk University requires all students to be vaccinated for COVID-19, including the COVID-19 booster if it has been 5 months since your last dose of your initial vaccine.
Pay your tuition and fees
Pay your full tuition before arrival. For online payment and wire information, please refer to the links on your offer letter, or go here.
Submit your flight details on the arrivals portal
To support your arrival, please go to the arrivals portal to submit your flight details. Here you will also be able to indicate if you would like us to provide you with an airport transfer to campus. This is available to you at no cost.

Complete your Suffolk University -Check-in
All new students are required to complete our E-Check-in for Suffolk University– you do not need to wait for your arrival to complete this check-in. You can do this now!
Complete the Pre-orientation webinar
Once you receive your university credentials (ID, email) you will have access to the Pre-Orientation website, which you can access here.
Upload your photo for your Suffolk ID Card
Go to the Suffolk ID page to upload a photo of yourself that will be used for your ID card.
Log into Suffolk’s Blackboard Platform and if required (International Year One) take the math placement test
Throughout your time at Suffolk, you will use the Suffolk Blackboard platformto access important information for many of your classes. Go to the Blackboard platform and make sure you can log in using your university credentials.
